Castleton Farm is a small breeding farm dedicated to producing high quality warmblood horses with our greatest emphasis on the Selle Francais.

Our breeding program strives to create sound horses both mentally and physically. We look for correct conformation in addition to exceptional bloodlines and performance records for both our mares and stallions.

We believe that foals belong outside running and playing in order to develop both sound minds and bodies. However, because our foals are bred to be athletes, daily handling and exposure to different environments enables us to ensure a cooperative attitude and an outgoing personality.

Our philosophy regarding horses comes from our bloodlines as well.  We were both raised with horses. We both competed in the Hunter/Jumper rings, foxhunted and John played Polo.
We currently enjoy competing our young horses in hand and riding when we have time.  We also have a long family history of breeding, training and competing.

John Fawkes Sr. Foxhunting

William H. Peters (Tracey's Grandfather) Tracey’s grandfather was in the cavalry and was a horse trainer. Both her grandparents foxhunted on the East coast and brought Tracey’s mother along riding.
John’s father and mother both trained and competed horses into their 70’s.

We are hoping to continue this legacy by raising outstanding warmbloods for the future.
